1. Introduction

Welcome to Altara. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms govern your use of the Altara platform, including our AI-powered renovation tools and project management features.

2. Nature of Services

Altara provides AI-generated architectural visualizations for marketing and conceptual purposes only.

Not Construction Documents: The images generated by Altara are artistic interpretations. They do not constitute architectural blueprints, structural engineering advice, or precise construction plans.
"Creative Variation" (Visionary Mode): Our AI models are designed to be creative. In certain modes, the AI may prioritize style over strict structural adherence. Colors, textures, and lighting are conceptual and may not exactly match available physical materials.
Feasibility: Users are responsible for verifying the physical and legal feasibility of any renovation concept generated by the platform before commencing work.

3. User Accounts & Credits

Access to certain features requires the purchase and use of "Credits".

Consumption: Credits are deducted upon the successful generation of an image.
Refunds (Auto-Protection): If a generation fails due to a technical error on our side, your credit is automatically returned to your balance.
Purchases: Credit packages are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by applicable consumer law.

4. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the original photos ("Anchor Images") you upload to Altara. You grant Altara a license to process these images to provide the service.

Generated Content: Altara assigns to you a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display the AI-generated images for your business purposes (e.g., real estate listings, marketing materials).

Platform Rights: Altara retains ownership of the platform interface, proprietary algorithms, and "Thought Signature" metadata. Underlying AI models are utilized under license from third-party providers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Altara to:

Upload illegal, offensive, or harmful content.
Attempt to reverse engineer our AI models or API.
Share your account credentials with unauthorized third parties.
Automate interactions with the platform (scraping/bots) without explicit API permission.

6. Real Estate Compliance

If you are a Real Estate Professional:

Disclosure: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of AI-renovated images complies with local MLS (Multiple Listing Service) rules and advertising regulations.
Transparency: We strongly recommend (and local laws may require) clearly labeling generated images as "Virtually Staged" or "AI Conceptual Renovation" to avoid misleading potential buyers.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Altara shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Altara in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
